Seven ladies walked into my home studio as complete strangers and left as new friends. I have to admit I was a little nervous, seeing this was my first party without close friends or an immediate family member in attendance. However the DIY pallet board party was a success in many ways…

Two of the attendees were local Homer Glen gals, full of inspiration and genuine love for our community which makes for an instant bond. Plus I know two more friendly faces if I ever run into them at the local grocery store!

Two of the ladies were moms that arrived with their daughters and daughter in-law. It made for such a bonding evening. Which is probably bad news for my mom. She is definitely going to have to give this a whirl instead of her saying, “OH LISA” can you just make me one… like she always does. LOL!

The talent and creativity they all had blew me away! One of the ladies is an autism teacher. All I can say is WOW her pallet board is a work of art. You can see her mid way point below in this picture. Yes, she took the time to color in the word tinsel in silver and then outline it in gold for a fabulous pop. Details, details, details. Impressive!

The red Imperial  FolkArt HomeDecor Chalk paint is new for me and turned out fabulous and is an extremely popular board of choice. Note to self*** Start thinking about Valentine’s Day projects*** Don’t you just love how this is the perfect Christmas red? I will be re-stocking soon at JoAnn Fabrics
