I spent the weekend chopping firewood for the impending winter solstice and took a moment to reminisce about the picnic I had in my backyard during midsummer. It was so simple to do using recycled pallets yet the effect was exactly what we were looking for.
By simply stacking four used pallets on top of each other I was able to create a comfy, yet rustic tabletop.
Some pillows to comfort the bottom, and some decor up top really brings the comfort level up. Hint: place the pallets in the shade to start or else you’ll perform double the work once you decide to seek shade mid-lunch.
Toss in an antique Coca-cola soda bottle carrier along with some flowers and the ambiance is set.
